Mirai, một người chồng kiệm lời và ít khi bộc lộ cảm xúc của mình vốn đang sống hạnh phúc với người vợ trong sáng và ngây thơ của mình là Meguru. Tuy nhiên, Mirai lại đang mắc một căn bệnh mà anh luôn giữ bí mật với Meguru. Một căn bệnh khiến anh "trở về quá khứ" mỗi khi "con tim bị kích động đủ mạnh". Một ngày nọ, Mirai nhận được một cú điện thoại từ một kẻ đáng ngờ... Ba ngày sau, anh ta được thông báo rằng Meguru đã chết. Sau khi hứng chịu nỗi đau tột cùng đó, Mirai đã trở về quá khứ và thề phải cứu lấy Meguru cho bằng được.
